Children and young people are central to life at Trinity Church. The main meeting time for our groups is during Sunday morning services. Our desire is for all children to become whole-hearted, lifelong disciples of Jesus. We believe the good news of Jesus is for them right now, whatever their age and therefore we make teaching them about Jesus from the Bible a high priority.
At Clyst Heath
At Trinity School
We have two groups, one for Children 0-reception aged and one for those in years 1-6. Here the team are following the sermon series in their sessions, everyone starts together in the hall then the children go to their groups for the second part of the service.
Trinity Church have been running K@tch for over 10 years here at Clyst Heath School on Tuesdays between 6.15-7.15pm during term time. This is a group for those in school years 3-6. We are passionate about providing a safe space for children in the community where they can come and have fun, build friendships and have an opportunity to hear the good news of Jesus.
The evening is run by volunteer adults from Trinity Church who have all been safely recruited including a full DBS check. A typical night involves a welcome game as we wait for everyone to be registered on arrival. This is followed by a short bible story and discussion, after which we provide refreshments, activities, craft and games when the children can choose which to be involved in. We finish together as a group and parents collect their children from the hall to be signed out. There is no charge for the evening.
Tuesdays 9.45 – 10.45am at Clyst Heath School. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more details
Wednesdays 10 – 11.30am at Newcourt Community Centre. Please email email@example.com for more details.
Both groups are for parents and carers to bring their pre-school children along to. It costs £1 per family.
Newcourt Dads and Toddlers is a monthly opportunity for local Dads and their children aged 0-4 to meet.
Based at Newcourt Community Centre, from 9-10.30am – bacon rolls and hot drinks are served to Dads whilst children can take part in various activities and play before they have a snack and a drink.
We aim for the time together to be a chance for Dads in the area to catch up and make new friends.
Sessions normally end with some songs and a bible based story.
We are currently looking for volunteers to get involved and restart this group after the pandemic enforced break.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to express an interest and for more details.
