Please contact Hannah Hocking for further details. During COVID-19 we have merged the groups from both Clyst Heath and Trinity School and so all details for Autumn 2020 can be found under the Clyst Heath information below.
The information below relates to ‘normal’ Church life, which we are hoping to resume, in some form, in Autumn 2020
Youth and children’s work is central to life at Trinity Church. The main meeting time for our groups is during Sunday morning services. Our desire is for all children and young people to become whole-hearted, lifelong disciples of Jesus. We believe the good news of Jesus is for them right now, whatever their age and therefore we make teaching them about Jesus from the Bible a high priority.
Do come along to the group for your age – no need to let us know beforehand, just come and join in! All adults involved with youth and children’s groups are DBS checked and have received appropriate training for your child’s safety. We will ask you to complete a consent form to ensure we have all relevant information and permission. The first Sunday in every month is an all-age service for both congregations.
Constanze our PAIS intern who joined us in September 2020. Constanze has joined Hannah in working with the secondary aged young people and supporting St Peters through year 7 assemblies and lunch clubs.
Hello, my name is Constanze Knauer. I am 18 years old and from Hamburg, which is located in the North of Germany. I will spend this year in Exeter serving in Trinity Church with the Christian organisation PAIS. (Pais aims to make missionaries who make missionaries who share God’s love with young people through churches and in schools.) I am looking forward to getting engaged in Trinity, to hear your stories and to work with you and experience God’s love. It is really exciting to see where our churches have similarities and differences. I love to see how your church is one big family and how you all are involved in the service.
I love music, dancing and getting creative. That’s why I love musicals and movies, just as much as reading.
The children’s and youth work is divided by school years.
Stars is for little ones from 0 to Reception. Stars introduces Jesus and the Bible through
activities, craft, Bible stories, prayer and play.
Sparks is for children in school years 1-3. Sparks explores the Bible more deeply and what it means to follow Jesus through activities, craft, Bible stories and prayer.
Ignite is for children in school years 4-5. Ignite develops children’s faith through activities and
Bible stories and aims to turn information in the mind into transformation in life.
Explode is for children in school years 6-7. Explode aims to help young people to develop their own faith and grow as disciples.
Impact is for young people in school years 8-10. Impact helps young people to grow in

Please click on the group names for the current term card.
We have two groups, one for Children 0-reception aged and one for those in years 1-7. Here the team are following the sermon series in their sessions, everyone starts together in the hall then the children go to their groups for the second part of the service.
Currently groups for young people are joint with Clyst Heath, those in years 8-10 are in Impact in Clyst Heath Primary School and those in years 11-13 are in Elevate held in a home in the parish after the evening service.
On the third Sunday of every month (6pm at Clyst Heath Primary School) we have
our ‘Unplugged’ service. This is a shorter service designed for 11-15 year olds and is
run by the older teenagers. Click here for this term’s programme.
We run a club for all the children in school years 3 to 6 called K@tch. This runs on Tuesdays during term time at Clyst Heath Primary School and starts at 18:15.
