We realise that coming to a church for the first time can be daunting, so here is some practical information to make your visit as easy as possible.
On Sundays, we meet at 10.30am (with children’s groups and creche) at Clyst Heath Primary School and at 6.30pm at Newcourt Community Centre (more information on how to find us can be found here).
On the first Sunday of every month we have an ‘All Age’ service at 10.30am where families can worship together. This is followed by church family lunch. You are always welcome to stay as there is always enough.
On the third Sunday of every month (6pm at Clyst Heath Primary School) we have our ‘Unplugged’ service. This is a shorter service designed for our youth and young adults. Check out the Unplugged Facebook page for more information.
The services at Trinity Church are designed to be as visitor-friendly as possible. We don’t expect you to know anything before you visit and regularly explain different parts of the service. The services mainly contain a mixture of songs, Bible readings and prayers as well as a talk (approx 25 minutes) on a passage from the Bible. The services usually also include a confession and creed (statement of beliefs) which you are welcome to join in with as you wish, or just use those times to reflect on what is said. The evening service tends to be little less formal than the morning service as well as being smaller in number.
No collections are taken during services. There is an opportunity to give to the work of Trinity and world-wide mission in a box near the entrance to the Sunday services, but there is no expectation that anybody visiting should be giving to this.
Children come to the first part of each morning service and then leave for their groups, except for the first Sunday of the month where they remain for the whole service. For older children (school years 8-10) there is The Trinity Unplugged Service usually on the third Sunday evening of the month.
