2007 Football Tournament Information
2006 saw the World Cup football tournament being contested in Portugal. At the same time Clyst Heath had its very own tournament, organised by Trinity Church and held in the grounds of Clyst Heath Nursery and Primary School. Over 30 teams from the area entered squads of up to seven players into the 5-a-side tournament. The standard of play was high.
The tournament was timed to
coincide with the final of World Cup, which was shown on a large screen. This year, Trinity Church will be running a 5-a-side football tournament on Sunday 8th July. Teams are invited to enter via the tournament page on www.trinityexeter.com or by telephoning Emma Brewster on 203971. Teams must enter in advance, as no entries will be accepted on the day of the tournament. This year the tournament coincides with the Wimbledon Men’s Tennis Final, which will be shown on the big screen. There will also be a barbecue; bouncy castle; ice-creams and games for children. Please do join us on this fun day! NB. Friday 6th July is the deadline for entry and spaces are limited - only 16 teams will be accepted. ....Followed by prize giving and cup
Throughout the day there will be a BBQ, hopefully an ice cream van and lots of refreshments. |
